(Schools Organized to Achieve Results)
is a FREE after-school tutoring program for students in
Grades 9, 10 and 11 focusing on Math and Reading.
PROJECT S.O.A.R. serves students in Grades 9 through 11 at Clearfield, Curwensville, DuBois, Glendale, Harmony, Moshannon Valley, Philipsburg-Osceola, and West Branch school districts.
PROGRAM HOURS are Monday through Thursday--immediately following dismissal,
for approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
TRANSPORTATION is provided through district bussing.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Although we focus on math/reading tutoring, we also have activities including:
Snack Time, Character Development, Career Exploration, Leadership Development,
Community Service, Self-Development, and Field Trips.
Encouragement and support is provided in helping students achieve their potential.
Special events and activities to include parents and family members.
Special presentations and activities by community partners.
~ Students will be expected to participate on a regular basis.
~Cen-Clear Child Services and the school district's policies and
procedures will be followed by staff and students.
~Academic performance, school and after-school attendance
and behavior will be monitored for each student.
*** We have a qualified Site Coordinator, Facilitator, and two tutors
that oversee the daily operations of the program at each site.
