MARCH 7, 2011 at 6:00 PM:
Facility Study Public Informational Session
To be held at Clearfield Middle School Auditorium
Dear CASD Parents,
As you are probably aware, the Clearfield Area School District has undergone a facility study to determine the short-term and long-term facility needs of the District. This study has been ongoing for some time and was necessary due to declining student enrollment and aging facilities. The Architect/Engineer Firm HHSDR of Sharon, PA performed the study and has presented the Board of School Directors with six options to consider. Please understand that the Board of School Directors has not made a decision and is seeking your commentary to assist them to make the best decision.
So that the public is openly informed and involved in the facility study process, you are invited to attend an informational session at which time details of the facility study will be explained and public input will be welcome.
The session is scheduled for Monday, March 7, 2011 beginning at 6:00 PM in the Middle School auditorium. A representative from HHSDR will be present to help answer all questions. A copy of the facility study is available for public review in all School District offices, the Shaw Public Library, the Clearfield Area Agency on Aging as well as on the School District website www.clearfield.org .
In the very near future, the Board of School Directors will be making decisions to address the educational needs of the District in the most economic and efficient manner possible. It is important that the community understands and supports these decisions in the best educational interest of all students who attend the Clearfield Area Schools. Please join us on March 7. If you have any questions or comments regarding the facility study, please feel free to contact me at 765-5511 Ext. 1012 or email totto@clearfield.org. Thank you for your interest and support!
