EFFECTIVE 9/2/08
 The Joseph and Elizabeth Shaw Public Library continues to work hard to serve our community in many ways.  Effective 9/2/08 the library is changing its hours to become more accessible to those who need to use the facility and have access to its services.  The additional hour to the closing schedule Monday thru Thursday will increase accessibility to the library for all types of library users.  Patrons are invited to use the extended hours to access the Internet, search for books, or simply relax in the Riverview Room with a magazine.  Community groups and organizations as well as businesses will also benefit from the extended evening hours when booking the Conference Room for meetings.

MISSION STATEMENT: The purpose of the library, then and now, is to provide free access to materials to meet the recreational, educational, informational and cultural needs to the citizens of Clearfield County. In addition, the Shaw Public Library is a member of the Access PA statewide card program. Through this program, any citizen of Pennsylvania with a valid library card may borrow materials from Shaw Public Library.
