The 3rd annual Take Down Cancer — One Match at a Time event switched venues to Clearfield Area School this year and was another rousing success.
The event, which culminated with the Philipsburg-Osceola wrestling team defeating the host Bison 42-31 at Arthur J. Weiss Gymnasium Tuesday, raised $13,759.87 for the Emily Whitehead Foundation and she was on hand to accept the check at center mat during intermission of the dual meet.
The money was raised through T-shirt sales, a bake sale, silent auction, 50/50 and the raffling of 30 baskets of good donated by local businesses.
