Congratulations to Clearfield Junior High 8th grader Leah Radek as her recent essay for the Pennsylvania Elks State Association placed First in the entire state of Pennsylvania! The topic of the essay was “What is Your American Dream?”
From Mr. Robert King, Chairman of the Elks Americanism Committee on Leah’s essay: “Your originality in writing on this topic truly expressed a patriotic attitude about your values as a citizen of our country. Your ability to express yourself in this essay enables the Pennsylvania Elks Americanism Committee to submit your essay to the Order of the Elks Grand Lodge to be included in the National Essay Competition.”
Leah will be honored at the Pennsylvania Elks State Convention in Harrisburg on Saturday, May 6, 2023.
