Clearfield Area School District

For the past 13 years the Shaw Park Santa House has welcomed between 400-500 children and families through its doors each Christmas season. This year the Santa House is getting a much needed refresh thanks to CRC board member, John Troxell and Clearfield Area High School students Warren Diethrick and Madison Bircham.  Warren is a senior also enrolled in the Welding and Metal Fabrication program at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC); and Madison is a junior at Clearfield Area High School. When Mainstreet Manager, Sue Diehl reached out to the CCCTC asking for volunteers to help paint the Santa House, Warren and Madison were quick to respond. In addition to painting, the Shaw Park house will also have new carpet installed thanks to Perry Rowles and Mike Owens. Funding for this project comes from the Clearfield Revitalization Corporation and the Downtown Lighting Fund.  If you are interested in donating to the Downtown Lighting Fund or to learn more about the projects and activities the fund serves, please call Sue at 814 765-6000.
