"On Friday, January 9th, students from Mrs. Barnett’s Ceramics I and Ceramics Studio classes traveled to the elementary school to deliver handmade clay gnomes to second-grade students. This field trip marked the final step of the Gnome Project, a collaborative effort between the high school ceramics classes and Mr. Richards' and Mrs. Terry’s second-grade art classes.
The project began when second-grade students created original gnome drawings. These drawings were then brought to life using clay by the high school ceramic artists. On Friday, the second-grade artists had the opportunity to meet their high school partners and see their clay gnomes for the very first time."
