Dear Parents/Guardians:
A few weeks ago, the USDA approved a waiver that allows school districts to continue with the Summer Food Service Program. The Clearfield Area School District operated this program last spring and summer, therefore, the District has been approved to begin the program again. The program will begin on September 22, 2020, and continue through December 23, 2020, contingent on the availability of Federal funding. This program permits the Clearfield Area School District to serve breakfasts and lunches to all children, 18 years of age and under, in the community free of charge on school days, including in-person or remote instruction days.
Meals will be available for pick up at the Clearfield Area Jr-Sr High School and at the Clearfield Area Elementary School. Parents are permitted to pick up these meals without their child(ren) present. However, we ask that you provide us a list with each child’s first and last name, and age. Meals will be available on a first come, first service basis. Adult meals will not be served.
The pick up location for the Clearfield Area Jr-Sr High School will be in the rear of the building by the Bison Gym entrance. Pick up time will be from 12:30 to 12:50. Please remain in your car and our staff will bring the meals to you. We will provide both a breakfast and a lunch.
The pick up location at the Clearfield Area Elementary School will be on the west side (left if facing) of the building. Pick up time will be from 12:35 to 12:55. Please enter off of Mt. Joy road, pass the first parking area on your right, take the next right (ignore the exit only sign). Door will be on your left. Please remain in your car and our staff will bring the meals to you. Please exit onto High Level Road. We will provide both a breakfast and a lunch.
