Recently the elementary school completed a coin collection. Students and businesses raised $6,641. Funds raised were used to purchase Toys for Tots for local children and pack 500 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child that will be shipped around the world. 6th grade students, staff, and PSU student teachers helped pack the boxes. The girls won the Boys vs. Girls competition and Miss Peacock's 4th grade class won the Golden Giver Award for the year for being the classroom that brought in the most amount overall.
